Whether cross-country skiing, ski touring or Mountain hiking: there is no better place to switch off and gather strength and ideas than in the Swiss mountains.
A visit from an old childhood friend from the USA at Easter 2018
From summer 2018 there will be weekend mountain sports courses for small groups in the Swiss Alps at irregular intervals under the direction of 1-2 trained mountain guides. The courses will include the following topics: Ski touring - beginners or Advanced - as well as mountaineering for beginners or advanced.
Karen Bockel - 1 of only 12 female mountain guides in the USA - will lead every mountain sports seminar. The international mountain guide training lasts at least 5 years and is suitable for its level of difficulty famous notorious. Less than 1% of all mountain guides worldwide are female.

Alpine technique: equipment, walking on a rope, using crampons and ice ax, self-belaying in the ice, short glacier walk,

4:00 p.m .: arrival & end of the program
(until 5 TN = 1 mountain guide; 6-9 TN = 2 mountain guides)
incl. 1 overnight stay in a mountain hut with half board on Saturday night
excluding mountaineering equipment (rent around CHF 50)

Mountain boots suitable for crampons, hut sleeping bag, weatherproof clothing, hat and gloves, 30-40L backpack
EXPERIENCE & FITNESS
no experience in the mountains is required for this. A certain basic level of fitness should be available in order to be able to conquer more than 1000m altitude difference in one day without any problems on foot.
